Domaine Chanzy Today

Domaine Chanzy produces a total of 250,000 bottles a year of red and white Burgundy wines from its 32 hectares of vineyards in Côte de Beaune, Nuit and Chalonnaise. Maison Chanzy, a wholly-owned subsidiary, produces red and white Grand and Premier Cru wines as a négociant.

Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume

Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume
Chief Operating Officer & Director of Vinification
Jean-Baptiste joined the Chanzy Group as General Director in August 2013 and became a Director of the Company and Chief Operating Officer in December 2014. He is from a line of highly respected and successful winemakers going back more than 160 years. Jean-Baptiste started his career in the family vineyard in Santenay, benefiting from five generations of experience. He was awarded Côte de Beaune “Young Winemaker of the Year” in 2012. Since joining the Chanzy Group, Jean-Baptiste has had full responsibility for vinification of both red and white wines and has also led the modernisation of the production facilities.

Pascal Jessiaume

Pascal Jessiaume
Director of Viticulture
Pascal joined Chanzy Group as Head of Vineyard Cultivation in April 2014 and became a Director of the Company in December 2014. He built up his experience of the trade, in common with his nephew Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume, at the family domaine. After obtaining a professional agricultural studies certificate in wine and wine making from the Lycée Viticole de Beaune in 1979, Pascal assumed responsibility for viticulture at the family domain in 1985. In the short time since joining Chanzy Group, he has made significant improvements to the Chanzyvines, focusing on soil quality, leaf height and thinning. With over 35 years experience in winemaking, Pascal is also able to participate in the winemaking process at Chanzy.
